Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and UlfApp Software LLC, an Indiana limited liability company (“we”, “us”), for your use of Keyvela at keyvela.app (the “Service”). By starting a trial or using the Service, you agree to them.

1. Your account and your master password

You need to be at least 13 years old and give a working email address. Your vault is protected by a master password that only you know. We never receive it and can’t reset or recover it. If you forget it, the information in your vault can’t be recovered by anyone. Keep it safe, and keep an export of your vault if you want a backup. You’re responsible for activity in your account and for keeping your devices secure.

2. Free trial

New subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial. A payment card is required to start it. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and your card is charged for the plan you chose. One trial per person.

3. Subscriptions and billing

• Plans are $2.99 per month or $24 per year (US dollars), plus any taxes that apply, billed in advance through Stripe.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• If we change prices, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the change affects your next renewal.
• Cancel any time from Settings → Manage billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• Refunds: if you’re charged for a renewal you didn’t mean to keep, email us within 14 days of the charge and we’ll refund it. Otherwise payments aren’t refundable, except where the law requires.

4. If your subscription ends

If your subscription ends or a payment fails and isn’t fixed, your vault becomes read-only: you can still sign in, view, copy and export everything, but you can’t add or change items until you renew. If an account stays without an active subscription for 12 months, we may delete it after emailing you at least 30 days beforehand.

5. Your data

Your vault is yours. It’s encrypted on your device and we can’t read it. You can export it or delete your account at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use the Service to break the law, to store information you have no right to hold, to attack or overload the Service, or to try to get into other people’s accounts. We may suspend accounts that do.

7. Availability

We work to keep Keyvela available and your encrypted data backed up, but we can’t promise the Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features over time. If we ever shut the Service down, we’ll give you at least 60 days’ notice so you can export your vault.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data you can’t decrypt because the master password was lost. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above and, for significant changes, email you before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Johnson County, Indiana, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
